Walmart Supercenter #43 surpassed their personal goal to raise $30,000 for the kids in Northeast Kansas during the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Campaign. The store’s manager, Nick Brungardt, promised the associates he would wax his legs for the kids if they met their goal. Nick held true to his word.

On October 27th, Walmart presented a check for $32,788.15 to St. Francis Health, dumped confetti on the market manager, and waxed their manager’s legs. St. Francis Health is incredibly grateful for the Walmart associates and the Junction City community for supporting the kids in Northeast Kansas.

Because of partners like Walmart, St. Francis Health is able to update pediatric equipment throughout the hospital and provide special training for associates. The funds also provide families with funds for needs that insurance doesn’t cover. The costs for prescriptions, special equipment, therapy and even travel add up quickly. With the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals program, St. Francis is able to step up when families are struggling.
