Local Gamers Unite for the Kids!

Local table top gamers came together to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals through Extra Life in Topeka, Kansas! On National Game Day, November 5th, roughly 30 people attended a 24 hour event at Jayhawk Tower to raise funds for local children and have some fun at the same time! That’s right, they played games ALL NIGHT!

St. Francis Health had 92 gamers sign up to participate in Extra Life. While all committed to raise funds and awareness for CMN Hospitals at St. Francis not all braved the 24 hours of gaming at one time.  A lot of gamers play for 24 hours over the weekend. Not our over the top table toppers! The wonderful thing about Extra Life is that it is on your own terms. You can play when and how you want!

St. Francis is blessed to have so many wonderful supporters. Participants that signed up for Extra Life asked family and friends to sponsor their 24 hours of gaming on Extra-Life.org. This year was a huge success raising just under $4,000 to help local kids in Northeast Kansas. You think that sounds good, nationally, the program raised over $6.6 million! WAY TO GO GAMERS!

Thank you Extra Life participants! We can’t wait to have new games for the kids to play in the hospital all thanks to your dedication!
